On Photography at Studio Viennoise was organized by Heba Farid of the Photographic Memory of Egypt program at CULTNAT in collaboration with artist and writer Paul Geday, and is a tribute to photographic studio practices in Cairo and Alexandria. The exhibition examined selected historical examples from the twentieth century alongside contemporary approaches through a collection of photographs, oral histories, and a live studio where visitors could have their photos taken. Questions of technique, style, and the market were discussed through various forms and mediums.
